the background

Hello world, today begins my new venture in life.  Here is a little bit of background so you can understand what is going on in my life.  My 76 year old mother who is an insulin dependent, partially blind, non-compliant Diabetic is moving in with me and my husband in three months. Yes, by October 2013, we will have another person living with us.  I attend school and have been trying to find gainful employment so I can began to pay my student loans back and I need money for a new car (my car is a 2004 vehicle), and I need to help my husband pay our basic bills.
Here is the dilemma. I have a three bedroom house, which I use BOTH spare bedrooms for my selfish needs.  WHAT? Yes, I use one bedroom for crafting, entrepreneur ventures (Mary Kay, Avon, Tupperware, and sometimes I sell insurance).  I use the other bedroom as a personal sanctuary to get away from the world and to study at 2 or 3 am.  Or, if I am selling gift baskets,  I use that room to sort out my products.  Oh, and speaking of products, that is the room that I keep all of my products, strategically placed into drawers.
Ok, I digress.  Back to the issue. My mother also has a three bedroom house, which she has lived in for about 35 years. Whew! My sister, brother and I have made several attempts to clear out her garage, but it seems every time we go over there (in 100 degree temps), we keep going back down memory lane and wind up taking things back to our own homes.  Very defeating.
So, today was the first day I actually began to tackle the craft/business room.  It was a joke.  I got one major tip - furniture slider discs Super Sliders Moving Kit, 24 Piecesthese are the best things since sliced bread! Honestly, they work miracles.  My husband refuses to help me get the room cleared out because he says he is afraid to go into the room, for fear he may step on a pin, or nail, or he may trip.  Whatever! I got this!! Originally, I had two credenzas in the middle of the room.  Well, I was able to take a dolly to lift the ends of each credenza and slip the disc beneath and push the credenza where I wanted it to go.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take pics before I started, but I did take pics after I finished for the day.  I plan to take others as I go along with the transformation.  I found an old pic when I was originally going to try to organize my clutter, and the room did not look too different, so I am including that pic too.

these pics show the room as I have left it today.
I found pics of how the room originally looked and they are below.
oops, I dont know how to download them...I guess the original room look will have to wait.
